1949 Willys Jeepster 2 wheel drive.
This old car is 98% complete. It's missing the canvas top & one piece of trim. All the other parts are there. It does run pretty good, although there is a hint of water in the oil, so I'm guessing it will need a head gasket soon. It doesn't knock, clank or rattle in some alarming manner, but it is 66 years old now. It shifts on through the gears alright, but the over drive isn't working, so as long as you keep it under 50 you'll be okay. It does have a brand new set of tires on it, brakes completely over hauled, new 6 volt battery, a rebuilt vacuum wiper motor and a recent tune up.
I believe the car hadsomeamateur bodywork done to itback in the 70's. The paint is the original color but I think it's the second coat. I can see where it had patch work done around the rocker panels & the whole floor was covered in fiberglass. Underneath the car it has the rust you would expect to find on an unrestored 66 year old car. To be done right it will need new floor pans and some other metal work, but that all depends on what level you wish to bring the car up to.
I would like to say it's a drivable project car. You can scoot around town in it, but I certainly don't recommend any trips down the interstate. Istrongly suggest trailering it home.
I am a NC dealer license # 0075857 so I will have to add tax, title & tags to the winning bid price, but I don't charge any DOC fees, destination fees, dealer prep fees or any of the other bogus things car dealers come up with to tack onto the price. I can alsoassist you with shipping.
I have tried to represent the car as honestly as I can. If you have any additional questions shoot me an e-mail or call me at 252-619-8067

Tax, Title & Tags is only applicable to NC residents.Residents of any other state will not have to pay the 3% road tax required by NC, nor will I process your title work at the DMV. You willreceivethe title and a title reassignment document, bill of sale, odometer & damage disclosures, so that you can handle your own tax, title & tags at your local DMV.

I uploaded a video on YouTube today. This should give you a better description... check it out.... https://youtu.be/9Rx8Y6WYD-4
I also forgot to mention that there is some damage to the inside of the front right fender well. It looks as if some one ran over something in the road & it got thrown up into the fender well where it punctured through. It's only visible when you open the hood & look to the left of the motor. You may see it in some of the pictures, but I can send you more details on this if you need it.
