1957 Willys Station Wagon Additional Info:
You are bidding on a 1957 Willys Jeep Station Wagon. This Jeep has one of the best original bodies I have seen, virtually no rust that I can see. Nice and straight and appears to be damage free. This was a very nice Jeep before any work was done on it. About 20 years ago this had some cosmetic restoration work down, mainly paint, chrome, and new rubber weatherstrip. Teh interior is mostly original. It was then placed in a private museum and has been in a climate controlled environment ever since and not driven. Mechanically it only has about 25,000 miles on it. I cannot document that these are actual miles but this was purchased from the original owner in Wyoming who stated the mileage as original and after working on the Jeep I am pretty convinced that they are. The following work was just preformed on this vehicle; gas tank removed and cleaned, new sending unit installed. New fuel pump. All brake wheel cylinders replaced, master brake cylinder replaced, flexible brake lines replaced. Brake system flushed. New brake shoes, brake drums turned. Carburetor rebuilt, new spark plugs and wires installed, new distributor cap, points, rotor too. Oil and oil filter replaced, new battery installed. NOS vacuum wiper motor installed. Front hubs cleaned and greased, etc. Everything seems to be working as it should. The tires look brand new with less than 10 miles on them, but they are about 20 years old. The Jeep starts right up and run very smooth, no noises, exhaust system sounds good to, all stock. I believe all the glass in original, all the gauges work, lights work, horn works, etc. The chrome is in excellent shape, looks like ti was just redone. All stainless trim is shiny and dent free. Doors open and close very nice. The paint was applied 20 years ago and still looks good but could use a good polish job. This is not a basecoat/clearcoat finish but probably your basic enamel, similar to what it would have when new. If you have any questions please email me. The Jeep is located in Logan, UT. I have a clear title in the previous owners name. You are welcome to come and look at this vehicle in person if you want. Thanks
