1947 Willys CJ2A Additional Info:

Up for sale is a 1947 Willys CJ2A serial #116959 that is finished as an MB style WWII Army military Jeep. The accessories that are shown in the photos are also included, which include fire extinguisher, shovel, helmet, 1945 trench shovel, replica grenade crate, three military bags, pistol belt and canteen, bridge plate (removable), jerry gas can, door safety straps, and soft canvas top.

This jeep is ready to be driven and can be enjoyed today. It is great in Parades, errands, and road trips. I use it currently for trips to the hardware store and Walmart. You get lots of looks and high fives. This is a Fun jeep! This is NOT a frame-off restoration. I take good sound jeeps, fix and upgrade where it needs it, and finish them to military.

4 Cylinder Flat Head Go-Devil engine that runs strong with good power. Good oil pressure, and no smoke.12V upgrade with alternator. Original foot pedal start is there, but it has been converted to a key start for ease of use. Horn, parking brake, lights, brakes, gauges work. Transmission is smooth without noise and new clutch and linkages give a great clutch pedal. 4x4 shifts well and no noises. There are typical misc oil drips but nothing major or out of the ordinary. I added a drip tray under the rear main seal so I don’t have any oil on the garage floor. The parking/emergency brake works.

Body is strong with no active rust. All floors are strong. The jeep had some low texture undercoating spray applied to the inside of the hood, floor boards, and undercarriage by the previous owner. I sanded that down smoother before finishing, but there are some areas you can see it is “rougher” but not noticeable in a negative way. It is adhered well and looks good, it’s just not perfectly smooth like bare metal in those areas. Fresh coat of Gillespie paint #33070 olive drab flat green paint and satin white stencils. Primer was high quality zinc phosphate #112 type for extra rust protection. The stencils are painted, and not the cheap vinyl that some have. A can of matching green touch up paint is included. I can add a custom stencil, such as a unit number, if you would like.

This Willys CJ2a is street legal and safe with clear Kansas title, left and right blinkers, tail lights, headlights, olive drab seat belts, and brake lights. The blinkers and seat belts have been added to increase the safety of the vehicle, especially when driving the grandkids around.

What this jeep is NOT: This is not a restored jeep. This is not a rebuilt jeep. This is not a frame-off restoration. If you are expecting all new parts, new seals, new shackles, new knuckles, new springs, rebuilt axles and engine, perfect floors, this is not that jeep. That would be a $25,000 vehicle. If the existing part did the job, it stayed on the jeep. This IS a strong running jeep that was refurbished as needed to make it a sound, stable driver that you can jump in and go to the store and parade. Great jeep that you will be happy with!

Buyer responsible for pick-up and transportation, but I will be available to assist. A down payment of $500 via paypal is required at time of winning the bid and is not refundable (unless problem is caused by me). A money transfer or cleared certified check will be accepted for the remainder of the payment before title is signed over and transportation occurs.

I am going to start finishing the trailer in the photo gallery to match the jeep. It will sell for an additional $1,000 if you would like to purchase. It will have working tail and brake lights and will be finished at time of pick up.

This jeep is also cross listed, so unless a bid is received, this auction can be cancelled at anytime if it is purchased on the other platform. If a bid is received, then I will not cancel the auction and it will sell on ebay. No reserve. Thanks for looking!
