1950 Willys 4-73 Pickup Additional Info:

I purchased this truck last year from an older Gentleman in hopes of fully restoring as the look of these trucks is head turning. The frame seems very nice and even the bed of the truck is solid. There are plenty of areas of rust which will need attention, along with other mechanical areas such as brake, but all in all, I believe, for being a 68 year old truck, it still has the look. I brought it home, dropped at my neighbor's house as I don't have room and he fired it up and sent me the video. I have a video of the engine running. That is as far as I've progressed as I now have decided I just don't have time to mess around. This belongs in the hands of someone that will give it the time it deserves. I really love this truck and wanted to pursue, but it's jut not in the cards. I can try and answer any questions you might have but truthfully, I'm not adept on exactly what motor. I understand it's a 134ci 4 cylinder but not sure which one. The transmission is a Borg Warner T-90 3 speed which I believe all of these trucks had. 1950 was the first year of the v shaped grill which is very sharp. It simply needs to be restored. I believe its a very nice truck, but I don't want to misrepresent in any way. It needs work on the body for sure. The previous owner loved fiberglass and some of the red you see is actually fiberglass tape or patch. If you want a project with a great foundation, this can be the one. The truck is located in Watertown, Wisconsin and you will need a trailer. while the engine fires, this is not in drivable condition. I listed as a 4-73 model. That's best I can tell from a little research I did. Please verify any information regarding this truck on your own or ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer. I said 100000 miles but truthfully I didn't look at odometer before listing and I had to enter a value. Obviously whatever shows might not represent true mileage. If it's important to you what the odometer reads, let me know and I'll get it.
