This car is a street rod in the old school tradition. Everyone loves a Willys street rod and this one looks excellent with a stunning fiberglass body. It is a pleasure to drive and turns heads wherever it goes. The smooth lines and graceful curves of the '41 Willys have made it a perennial favorite for customizing. It leads with the one-piece, electric shaver grille, flanked by teardrop headlights. The air is then split by the hood, flows over the... fenders, and down the side of the car. Nicely painted in a rich, wine colored, metallic basecoat/clearcoat, with a subtle pinstripe that adds a touch of class. This car would be equally at home pulling up to the country club, or to club events. Shaved door handles keep the look clean on the way to the back end of the car that looks like it was shaped by the wind on a high-speed run. Hints of that high-speed run can be seen in the chrome exhaust tips that peek out just in front of those massive rear tires. Those tires are mounted on 15-inch Weld wheels that measure 31x16.5 and are matched in the front by 185/70R14s. The interior of this car is built for comfort and enjoyment. Open the doors with the keyless entry and get comfortable in the bucket seat. Notice that the colors match throughout the interior, with the seats upholstered in a quality tweed. A beautiful, wooden, Grant GT tilt steering wheel greets you and white-faced gauges are clearly visible just in front of it. Ventilation controls are handled by a Vintage Air control panel located in the center of the dash. A custom floor console houses a fabricated floor shifter with a B&M shift knob, as well as some other goodies. The window controls are located there, as well as a Jensen head unit with bass tube and CD changer. Alpine speakers in the doors are trimmed out nicely and sound great. The trunk is dressed up in the same colors as the interior, and has a nicely crafted billet trunk arm to hold it open. The engine compartment in this car is neat and clean. It is dominated by a 502 crate motor setting snugly under the confines of that tapered hood. A Harrison aluminum radiator with a Meziere water pump keeps things cool, while billet pulleys and framework keeping the accessories turning. A polished alternator, brake master cylinder, header tank and wrapped coolant hoses keep things looking great. Keeping the engine fed with electricity and fuel, are the battery and an Aeromotive fuel delivery system housed in the trunk of the car. Power flows back through a 700R4 automatic transmission and solid axle to those massive rear tires that are held in place under power by a 4-link rear suspension. Coil over shocks and springs keep those wheels under control and allow adjustability for ride height and rake. The front suspension is a control arm set up with power rack and pinion steering and also has coil overs for control and tunability. Power disc brakes front and rear complete the picture. Capability and class. Performance to run with the best, then attract attention as you pull up to the restaurant and give the valet a thrill. Come on down and check this car out.
