1947 Willys CJ Military Additional Info:
1947 WILLYS CJ2A VIN NUMBER CJ2A 95528...TOTALLY REBUILT... Drive it home if you would like. It is NOT A WWII jeep, It is a Willys CJ, civilian jeep. And is dressed like his big brother, with 45th Infantry Division markings with Invasion Stars which the 45th earned in WWII.
It has been totally rebuilt, with all new, or rebuilt units and some original pieces, such as original front seat frames, speedo, (which had 13,743 miles on it), grill. Zero rust, Drive train was completely rebuilt, engine (late WWII buy back), tranny-transfercase, clutch, front and rear ends, totally new brakes, new shocks, five new 16 inch wheels with new six ply NDT tires and tubes, new body, fenders, WWII hood, WWII windshield, WWII body handles, WWII spare tire rack, jerry can (new usable), WWII bumperettes, WWII duel tandem windshield wipers, WWII fender black out fender light, WWII windshield hold down latches, WWII tail lights
Changed over to 12 volt electrics with alternator, all new vintage cloth covered wiring, all new switches, including foot starter, junction blocks, wire connections soldiered and rubber tipped like original, fireproof looms where needed, all new gauges, emergency brake works great, brakes work great, steering box and linkage were rebuilt, original Carter carburetor rebuilt.
Everything works as it should, starts right up drives like a 1947 model jeep, shifts in all gears smoothly, holds great oil pressure, temperature hold around 150 degrees.
It has been driven around 60 miles checking everything out and my grandson says it is the best one we have ever finished.
It would make a great little vehicle for a July 4th parade, take a veteran for a ride, or run around town, it gets lots of attention, or a drive off road.
I have a flash drive with over 100 photos of different stages of the rebuild and plenty of space for you to record your own memories with it that is included with the jeep, as well as a couple of technical books on WWII and CJ jeeps.
The jeep is located at my grandson David's shop in Seven Points, Texas and you can contact him with any questions you may have about the jeep. Text is the best way to get in touch with him at 903-603-5891.
Please note, this is a five day auction so you possible can get it delivered in time to use it on the 4th of July, Good Luck.
There is no warranty expressed or implied on the jeep. I prefer bank transfer, I will scan and email you a copy of the clear title after auction ends. All certified funds must clear my bank before vehicle is to be picked up or loaded. A custom door to door delivery can be arranged with David ask for quoted price.
