This is the Holly Grail of Hotrods. I am going to list the car one time. I have an opportunity to buy some vacation property so I will try to put up my favorite car I own.
1) I have no interest in any trades at all. There is nothing cooler then this car in my eyes.
2)I will not reveal the reserve, if interested I suggest to bid hard. If it does not meet my reserve I may consider the highest bid.
This is the real deal. An all Steel 1941 Willys Coupe with a title. The car is all original steel from what I can tell with only 2 panels that are replaced with steel replacements-Trunk lid, rear tail pan and front center section of front end around grill. There is nor fiberglass on this car at all. This car had a frame off restoration about 5 years ago and is clean and rust free under and everywhere on the car. The car has a hood but I have since removed to run the blower. I have 2 grills for the car. The teeth which is powder coated gold metallic and an original grill-You can pick the grill, Teeth are an acquired taste.
The engine is a 548 Big Block Chevy, Dart Block, Edelbrock Alum. Heads, blower pistons low compr. full roller Crane Hydraulic cam, Littlefield 671 blower with 2 850 blower carbs. Motor has about 500 street miles and 20 passes at the track. This motor dyno at 850 H.P. and 875 Torque on less then 10% boost. Put more boost and you can get to 1000 H.P. But believe me it has plenty.
Trans is a Hughs Turbo 400 with a Coan converter set up for this car for street strip.
RearEnd is a Franklin quick change. I have street gears 373, 412 for the 1/4 and 462 for the 1/8th. LADDER BAR with coil overs on it. Car has 4 wheek disk brakes.
Interior is old school sparkly vinyl bench sheet. 5 point harness, 8 point cage. Car has the original dash signed by Bid Daddy! Full gauges, Check out the set up on steering column. Tinted red old school cool.
The car has a straight axle on the front Car goes down the road real nice. Goes down the track even better. I have been 132 MPH in this car with no problems
Outside is painted Hot Rod Black with red and gold metallic stripe down the middle.
Has a Ron Francis double pass radiator with dual electric fans. Runs about 210 in warm weather as long as you stay out of traffic. 15 gallon alum. fuel cell with 2 batteries in the trun.
This is a very cool car that goes to nostalgia race events. It has been to the Meltdown Drags the past 3 years and was on the cover of the 2015 program.
I put the blower in the car a year ago and made half a dozen passes. Blew 2 posi units in it and finally put a spool in the rear. The rear end is the weak link in the car. I need to baby it off the line. I have no trans brake on the car and only punch the gas off idle. The car pulls the wheels a foot in the air and ran a 10.42 at 132 MPH. If you put a stronger rear end in it this car will be in the 9's-I had the motor in my other Willys and ran a 9.90 still taking it easy off the line.
Again please do not ask to trade, I will not respond and I am not saying the reserve. If you have less then 10 feedback please do not bid on the car unless you send me a message first.
Thanks,
Tony
