1949 Willys Jeepster Convertible Additional Info:
This is a very nice and very clean REGULAR DRI VER 1949 Willy's Jeepster that spent its life in the Oklahoma and Tulsa Oklahoma area to make it a very solid unrestored example that has only been freshened up as needed for appearances, and it get used several times a week on a regular basis and cruises the highway nicely in it original form, so this is not one of those typical Jeepsters that just sits around causing the actually user ability to go bad. It is a 4cyl with the 3-speed and Overdrive, so it cruises the highway at 65mph just fine and flies down the road smoothly as demonstrated in the supplied GoPro Video below. The light and gauges work great, along with the factory Vacuum Wipers, and this Jeepster is still the 6-volt positive ground with no reason to change it due to everything working properly. I have been told that the F-head did not come factory in the 1949 model, but I have also found other examples for sale that were claiming the F-head was factory in theirs, so I will assume that it was perhaps a replacement motor back in the day? It looks factory in the engine bay now due to correct mounting and age, and it has plenty of pep and power to carry this one down the highway safely, so if it isn't factory it damn sure could have been. The Brakes and Wheel Bearing have all been recently serviced also, and the under chassis is clean an original and I can supply pics upon request due to not enough pictures allowed to show everything, but it is all respectable and clean and in very decent condition for a 67 year old vehicle with very minor rust repair in the past. It is a very solid car body and frame wise and is not in need of restoration, so just drive and enjoy instead of having a trailer queen you don't want to get dirty. The Paint, Interior, Convertible Top, Side Curtains, Trim is in clean and great shape for a vehicle of this age, so it is a very respectable driver and fits right at home in a local car show or parade, which makes it a very enjoyable conversation piece for sure.
