Very rare time capsule professionally built drag car from the 1960's.this Is a true survivor time capsule museum quality car.the car was campainged In the mid 1960's by a fellow up In new york.Im posting the old strip picture to verify that.he sold the car to a fellow in 1969 for $8.000 which Is over 100k In Todays money dont worry the reserves less.the fellow named Ray ran the car a hand full of times till it scared him,he then locked lt away ln his garage for 46 years as garage art.the car was built to run on asphalt when they switched to cement the car launched hard drove straight but It scared him.he said It yanked the wheels a foot and a half In the air.It was setting on jack stands perfectly stored.I acquired the car by paying enough money to choke 4 horses and then some.now onto the full details of this rare survivor.
1940 steel body coupe near perfect body.the only lil spot of mud I see In the car Is In the lower passenger door as the pictures reflect.you'll be hard pressed to find a nicer body I know after 30+ years of chasing real steel willys.the nose Is 1966 real cal auto nose as well as the driver door for weight distribution as well as deck lid all else ls 1940 steel willys.the grill Is made from 1958 ford the firewalls alumunium.as well as floor beyond excellent craftsmanship.chasis is fully boxed and you'd be hard pressed to build it this clean today.I kid you not the welds will knock your socks off.paints still good on chasis.rearend is big oldsmobile of the time.hardened gears.ladder bars like in the day with rare of the time coil over setup.car was way advanced back then.front axle is a chrome don long axle.the paint Is 1970 monte carlo color burgandy and silver.has rear push bar with advanced air breather setup inside it.
Engine is a 331 sbc with all the cool parts vertex magneto,2 4 tunnel ram.it does run but needs carbuerators gone through from setting with old gas and all. very easy fix.has the cool mag driven tachometer all the right parts,airhorn brakes with rear all rebuilt.it has new kit for master cyclinder that needs added.fully rebuilt never ran big pin muncie 4 speed with cool reverse lockout.vw seats and headlights.I didunbolt the old roll cage but did save It.it has cool old aircraft seatbelt for drivers side also put up.very rare museum time capsule l will sell this car anywhere your big heart desires to bid as long as you have the funds to back your bid and pay the shipping.local pickup is availiable after the cars paid for lm not out to sale the car then have a buyer come do a 4-5 hour inspection prior to loading.you can fly in or drive to see it prior to bidding.I do it all the time.I knocked another 15k off the price.you can build a new glass car but it aint the real deal survivor like this rare jewel.call with any questions 10 am central time till midnight 816-273-6489 Silly and stupid offers and silly trades wont be listened to.no I wont part the car out nor do I HAVE TO SALE IT.
