Hello and thank you for viewing my auction. I am relisting due to a non paying bidder! Please only bid if you are a serious buyer. A lot goes into setting up these listings!. If you have any questions about this please call me at 860-818-0945. This is a very original 1991 Volvo 240 sedan with only 95,892 miles on it. I may drive this vehicle a couple more times before auction ends. I will be quite specific in my description to represent this Volvo very accurately.
First the exterior. This Volvo is original and is finished in a bright white. There are a few rock chips touched up on the hood and the passenger side has a few scuffs and scrapes. I decided to not do any body work on this vehicle and leave it original just as I bought it. The tires are brand new and all trim is intact. The factory wheel covers are also in great shape. The wiper blades were just replaced too. This Volvo has a factory manual cranking moon roof. The moon roof does not leak but does require both hands to open and close. The crank seems that the main bolt is becoming stripped. This will eventually require attention though I did open and close it multiple times since I have owned this vehicle. I also had this Volvo professionally detailed. The complete inside and out washed, buffed, waxed and even interior shampooed. Overall I would call this Volvo 240's exterior very original and in above average condition.
Next the interior. The interior is a deep blue and looks wonderful against the bright white exterior. The seats both front and back are in spectacular mint condition. The front seats are heated. The headliner and rugs are also in great condition. The dash does have a few small normal cracks but nothing stand out. The gauges all operate fine and AC blows very cold. The factory radio was replaced with a nice sounding after market SonyAM/FMCD player equipped with an I-pod aux jack. All of the original speakers sound great andhavefactory grills that are in great shape too. There is a cracked plastic piece behind the center console. You can only see it when sitting in the backseat. The rear deck has some slight fading from the sun. Also the third brake light seems to have been redone how it stays in the window. It looks modified but is staying and I am not touching it. All power windows operate fine. The rear passenger sometimes is a little picky but it works. The power locks all work too. The original unused lighter is in place. Overall this Volvo's interior looks wonderful and has very small amounts of normal wear and tare due to it's age but it was definitely very well taken care of and is in above average condition.
Finally the mechanics of this vehicle. I have had this vehicle fully safety inspected and serviced with no expense spared. The oil service was completed and all brakes were replaced as well as the rearrotors. The calipers were all serviced and or replaced. The timing belt cover was opened to verify the timing belt service was completed. There was a sticker on the cover and yes it was completed. The gauge cluster was removed and bulbs were checked and replaced as well as bulbs throughout car.Exterior bulbs notjust changed but modified so bulbs won't be needing replacing often which is common in these 240's. The only item mechanic said wasn't a safety issue was steering column has a little play in it if you aggressively shake steering wheels left to right. When driving you can't feel anything so I didn't change it. I spent close to $1,500 making sure this vehicle was in the condition I would want it to be in for my family and I to take itto the beach house or casino near by. Please feel free to call me with any questions about this vehicle. I reserve the right to end auction early if vehicle is sold locally. If winning bidder needs vehicle shipped anywhere in the country I have regular transporters I use. Please also call me for a shipping quote during auction at anytime at 860-818-0945.
I appreciate you taking the time to look at my vehicle and good luck bidding!!!
