Additional Info:

This 1991 Volvo 940 SE remained registered with the original owner for thirty years and was driven only 55,000 miles before I purchased it in 2021. I was told it was his wife's car who drove it ten years and 50,000 miles until she was no longer able to drive, He kept the car and drove it another 5,000 miles in twenty years until she passed away and then sold it. Always garaged in San Antonio Texas and dealer maintained up to 50,000 miles The odometer shows 23,952 miles but a new one was installed at 42,677 miles by the dealer and is documented by receipt and sticker on the door jamb. It comes with the window sticker, owners manual and service and parts receipts from new.
This was the premium Volvo in 1991 painted beige metallic with tan leather faced seats and the four cylinder B230FT turbocharged engine and AW71 four speed automatic overdrive transmission. It has a power sunroof with both slide and tilt functions, electronic climate control, power antenna with dash control, AM/FM/cassette and the accessory remote six CD changer, heated power front seats, heated power and folding mirrors, tilt steering wheel, accessory arm rest with front and rear cup holders, plush floor mats, heated rear window with wiper, tinted windows and the accessory cargo tray and retractable security cover. In a sense this is one of the rarest Volvos I have seen or owned, previously named the 760 Turbo from 1988 to 1990 (even they are rare) and in 1991 called the 940SE for one year only when the V6 was no longer offered and the new straight six wasn't introduced until the 1992 960 and the SE and turbo were eliminated. Always maintained mechanically and beautifully maintained cosmetically. No accidents, one small fender scrape that has been repaired, a small dimple/scratch in the left D pillar, small hard to see imperfections in the paint and some small scratches in the bumper cover chrome. There are small cracks in the driver's side lower steering cover, not obvious, and a broken out corner of the console at the front bottom that can be seen. There is chafing on the driver's seat back bolster, The ABS light is on and the radio turns on but has no sound, seems to be an amp issue as the fuse was blown and a new one blows instantly. The car runs and drives excellent and all other functions work as they should and the A/C is ice cold.
I drove the car 10,000 miles the first two years, half of which were two road trips and rarely since. I just finished an extensive preventive maintenance refurbishment. Work performed for the sale is as follows:
Extensive detailing and hand rubbed polish.Routine oil change, service and inspection for necessary preventive maintenance.Replaced front and rear brake pads, flush and bleed brake hydraulic system.Rotated and balanced tires.Flushed cooling system.Replaced water pump, radiator, heater valve, thermostat and top radiator hose.Replaced timing belt, tensioner and engine front seals.Replaced accessory belts and mounting bushings for the A/C compressor and alternator with hard rubber option.Adjusted valves.Replaced spark plugs, wires and coil wire, checked compression.Checked PVC system.Injectors cleaned and tested.Cleaned and adjusted throttle assembly.Replaced battery and checked alternator brushes.Replaced front shock absorbers, ball joints and radius rod bushings.Replaced self leveling Nivomat rear shock absorbersReplaced fuel filter.Replaced air filter.Replaced rear window washer pump.Replaced front and rear wiper bladesThe A/C was updated to R134A during the owner's care and blowing cold. Checked for leaks, evacuated and recharged system.Checked automatic transmission screen, replaced pan gasket and refill.Replaced fog lights and turn signals. The exhaust system appears to be original and in ok condition with a one inch slit in the axle pipe seam that was repaired with Muffler Weld and a minor leak at the axle pipe front joint. Mufflers and pipes are not available from Volvo. The tires are premium Michelins, 235/65 R15 with 8/32 plus tread remaining, they are dated 2014 and are twelve years old but there is no dry rot and I was comfortable driving on the interstates at 80 mph.I have a large gallery of pictures with pictures of the work being done.
No accidents or damage reported to Carfax.
Clean and clear Texas title in the original owner's name.
If the car is to be registered in Kansas sales tax at 7.5% will be added to the sale price.
I will have cold start, walk around and driving vidios posted on face book.
