1962 Volvo 544 B18 Sport Recent restoration Additional Info:

A rare opportunity- this car is in very nice condition- the drive train and interior are complete and close to new condition. Battery was replaced as I am listing. 1962 was the first year Volvo used a 12 volt system in the US and absolutely is an upgrade versus the prior 6 volt systems. There is extremely little rust on the vehicle.
Exterior cosmetics are good- but not perfect.This vehicle was put through a rigorous motor vehicle safety inspection 8 years ago and then parked in a climate-controlled storage facility until just now. It was removed from storage just days prior to listing, battery replaced and it started and drove impressively. No doubt the fuel was treated as it was still quite good. The front seat adjustment rails are stiff (not rusty) and need some lubricating. The heater (hot / cold) valve doesn't move well (but the heat works). The horn doesn't work. An upgrade (modern) stereo was installed at some point in the last 10 or so years. My commits are not implying these are the only issues with the vehicle- they were what I noticed as I enjoyed becoming acquainted and taking a short drive (few miles). Foot brake and parking work great! The 544 is known as a fine "driver" vehicle and this is no exception. The fact it is a B18 sport makes things better yet! The car as it seems ready to use- and of course at the age of this always more can be done. As I list, I'm very tempted to keep and use- but we'll see. I hope someone wishes to treasure it- I'm glad to answer questions to the best of my knowledge and ability. I don't have much personal history with this Volvo, and the prior owner is not available to help with questions. I will say the prior owner had an extensive car collection and to my knowledge this was one he enjoyed using more than most of the others. It includes a clean title. The person I just acquired the vehicle from purchased it in 2011. I have many ownership papers back as far as the early 1980's. There is no doubt this has been a treasure to multiple owners.

I have absolutely no way to warrant the reading on the odometer is accurate. It reads 94481 miles and to the best of my knowledge is likely the true milage- BUT you bare buying this as TRUE MILAGE UNKNOWN.My talent withb down
