1966 Volvo Other 122S Additional Info:
Up for auction is a nice original condition Volvo 122S in the color of slate gray with red interior. This is a true California car. As we all know these cars are plagued with rust issues. This is a great opportunity to purchase one with just about zero rust. The extent of the rust is a small amount of surface rust in the trunk and some on the floors. This is shown in the pictures. This car had been siting in a barn for many years in California and before that it was always a California car. This car is truly preserved and is beautifully patinaed. The interior quarter panels and door panels are in nice shape but the seats and dash need to be redone. New dash pads are now avalabe and are very good quality reproductions. The 123 GT dash is a nice upgrade. I don't know the service history of the engine but the car runs and drives great and has been my daily driver for about two years. The rear wheels have been widened to 6 inches but I have the two original 4 inch wheels that will be included with the car. The tires are about two years old and have very low miles on them. I recently went on a trip to Monterey California from Huntington beach which is about a five hour drive with no problems. This car would be a very simple restoration taking into consideration that no rust repair is needed. Or it could be enjoyed as is with its amazing patina. International bidders are welcome.
