This 1970 Volvo 142 is a project vehicle with updates to the drivetrain. The owner has had it for 2 years. The vehicle is drivable and is mainly used for weekend drives.

Vehicle Details

Up for sale is this 1970 Volvo 142S. I purchased it a few years back not running and hardly stopping. Since then it is now a highway worthy driver. The plan was to LS swap or K swap the car but time isn't available for that right now. The milage is stuck at 64,xxx miles but the speedometer works just fine.

I was able to get the engine running with a few little adjustments and some fresh gas. The gas tank is shot so it will need one if you want to drive it far distances. I was planning on fabricating a tank since none are available but it hasn't happened yet. I just drive around on a little 2.5 gallon tank under the hood.

The engine is the B20B 2.0L with twin carbs. It has a 4 speed manual transmission. I retrofitted a 63 amp alternator that is internally regulated.

All 4 brake calipers were rebuilt when I installed all new brake pads and rotors. It has factory 4 piston calipers up front and 2 piston calipers in the back.

The body has rust in many areas as seen in the pictures.
