Made for the Swedish armed forces,

Raptgb 915 (military name),

TP21/P2104 (Volvo military designation),


the well proven "ED9" 90hp (67kW), 3.67 litre inline 6 side-valve petrol engine.


The engine is mated to a Volvo "E9" 4-speed non-synchronised gearbox


The transfer case has two additional "gear levers";

one for selecting High or Low range giving eight speeds and extreme low speed off-road hill climbing power

The second transfer case lever is for engaging front wheel drive


In addition this vehicle has vacuum operated diff locks; front and rear axles.

i.e. when engaging 4WD and both diff locks all four wheels are mechanically locked together

- slip can only happen with all four wheels slipping at the same speed ...


Swedish Nickname: Suggan" (in english "sow" - adult female pig)


The vehicle comes with full Volvo drivers and workshop manuals,

- in Swedish but very detailed with lots of pictures covering all maintenance and repair work procedures
