1988 Volvo 240 Additional Info:
This car runs great and I would not hesitate to take it cross country if need be. Averages 22mpg hwy, so probably even more if you're a bit of a reserved driver. After the head was rebuilt I took it on a 300+mile roundtrip trip to the coast and just again on about a 100 mile roundtrip trip to go hiking. The reason I'm selling is because I've ran out of money for another Volvo 945 turbo project and without a job money is tight. The tabs also expired at the end of April. There is no rust anywhere. The block and chassis are the only thing with 300k miles. Compression test on the engine before head rebuild came to about 160psi on each cylinder besides #2 cylinder,120+psi, where previous headgasket failed. Small spot(less than the size of a baseball) on roof where clear coat is peeling next to the small dent above drivers door near a pillar. Other small dent on hatch. It's in great shape for a 28 year old car with only two little dents that are noticeable. Ask me any questions you'd like or if you want more pictures ask away.

Engine:iPd skid plate,Volvo Blackstone radiator, new overflow tank, FCP silicone rad hose set(NLA), Kingsborne 8mm spark plug wires, NGK BPR6ES spark plugs, '91 530 head has been rebuilt within 500 miles ago(by Johnson's Machine Shop of Tumwater, WA) with 46mm intake valves, 38mm exhaust valves, RSI N/A cam, Isky double valve springs, new larger valve seats, new intake valve seals, head deck shaved 40 thousandths for higher compression,iPd adjustable camshaft gear, iPd heavy duty roll pin,new cam seals (front and rear plug from Volvo),iPd rear cam plug retainer plate,Rotella T5 oil,new Volvo oil separator box with new o-ring, cleaned flame trap, Gates Kevlar timing belt, new INA timing tensioner, new Volvo tensioner spring, new Elring headgasket,new Victor reinz crank seal,new sensors(ect & temp) on the head (Bosch and Volvo), new Wahler 87° thermostat, 100 amp denso alternator with poly accessory bushings, Hepu Waterpump with new gaskets, 3.0 bar fuel pressure regulator flowingyellow top injectors(could possibly change soon), new Delphi intake pump with new filter sock and Gates (pump to sender) fuel hose, new Bosch main fuel pump with new Bosch fuel filter
Wheels: Hydra 16"x6.5" with very nice 215/55 tires. One spare Hydra wheel with no tire. Extra center caps included.
Exhaust: KG Trimning 4-2-1 header with 2½" outlet to a 2½" catless, over axle exhaust with one muffler, flex joint, new Bosch o2 sensor, extra bung for wideband(exhaust built by CJ's custom and muffler in Parkdale, WA)
Interior/Exterior/Accessories: Four Bosch fog lights wired up, two with covers and two with grilles, euro side marker lights wired to driving lights and blinkers, Curt tow hitch that needs wiring, rare dog gate, Black headrest pads, beat up but usable black center console/seat front armrest, '92 black door handles/beltline trim/hatch hinges(hinges haven't been installed yet but come with new Volvo hinge gaskets and new harnesses), working odometer and all other cluster gauges, decent JVC CD player w/aux port(I'd replace original speakers soon), decent brown leather interior (drivers seat is rough but comfortable), working seat heaters, AC could use a recharge, blower fan has been replaced two owners ago, NOBTAINABLE metal window rain guards, 52mm tach, 52mm volt gauge. Updated front windshield seal, Aw70 transmission rebuilt two owners ago and shifts wonderfully. Has iPd overdrive block off plate.Was originally a roof rack car but has been plugged for awhile with the iPd roof rack plugs.
