1991 Volvo 940 Additional Info:
I always liked the Volvo 900 series and therefore decided to add one to my little car collection. Since I really like the 16V engine in the 940s, I was looking for one in pleasant colors and with cloth interior.
Eventually I got lucky and found one in Vancouver, B.C. in Oct. 2016. It was offered by a very reputable dealership. I wire-transferred the money, flew there, got temp. plates, imported the car into the USAand drove it down to So.Cal. That was a very enjoyable trip.I have been driving it for one and a half years now and it's time to sell it. Let me tell you about my car:
1991 Volvo 940 GLE79k miles documentedAfter two Canadian owners I am the third owner.Clean Carfax, showing service records and supporting the Kilometers (Miles)
Tropic Green Metallic (color code 412) with Charcoal cloth interior.Power SunroofPower WindowsPower Door LocksPower MirrorsAir ConditionerFactory stereo with cassette and power antennaHeated seatsABSFront and Rear Fog LightsIt also has almost new 205/60/R15H Ohtsu tires on factory steel rims with unblemished hubcaps.
Unlike many other older Volvos, everything works and the Air Conditioner blows ice cold air and the heater blows hot air. Also, no warning lights are on.
The paint is original ( I checked it with a paint gauge) and is still very shiny, but does have a couple of very amateurish touch-ups on the left front fender and the roof. Both are about5 cm long and 1 cm wide. The left front bumper is scuffed. Please look at the picture gallery for these blemishes.
The interior is spotless, with a perfect crack-free dashboard, seats, carpet and roofliner. Even the center console cover is not broken and still locks. There are no animal or cigarette smells either.
According to the documents the first owner took Diplomatic Delivery in Sweden.
The second owner was very fastidious and maintained this Volvo to the highest standards, either at a factory Volvo dealer or independent Volvo mechanic. When I purchased the car I was given the most recent invoices:At 113164 Kilometers (70331 Miles) this Volvo received a new cylinder head, timing belt and oil pump to the tune of Can. $ 3460.--At 117292 Kilometers (72897 Miles) the front engine seals were replaced, also the valve cover gasket for Can. $ 453.--At 119219 Kilometers (74095 Miles) the front brake pads and rotors were replaced for Can. $ 615.--At 123722 Kilometers (76893 Miles) a new radiator was installed for the amount of Can. $ 534.--Besides that it had recommended oil changes and tune-ups.
The next owner will receive these original invoices together with the owner's manual, service book, orig. Volvo folder for Tourist and Diplomatic Sales and two extra keys.
I sourced a complete instrument cluster with a speedometer showing in Miles. A licensed speedometer shop in Whittier, California converted the Kilometers from the orig. speedometer to Miles. There is a picture in the gallery of the orig. instrument cluster. It will go with the car.
This Volvo comes with Import Documents and a clear Washington title in my name.
There will be no warranties expressed or implied.
I will gladly help with shipping within the USA or overseas.
