1991 Volvo 240 Additional Info:
Well maintained two owner Volvo 240 wagon. I have all service records since new. The previous owner had all repairs/maintenance done at a foreign car garage in Richmond, VA. In the 2 1/2 years I have owned it, I have replaced/installed the following: rear heavy duty coil springs, rear shocks, tailgate wiring, rear washer nozzle, antenna, center driveshaft support, tailshaft bushing, transmission mounts, engine mounts, front struts, IPD strut braces, spark plugs and wires, flame trap, distributor cap and rotor, front and rear brake pads, radiator hoses, odometer gear, transmission fluid and filter, AC recharge this past summer, and of course regular oil changes with Mann filters.
Runs and drives good. No rust. Everything works except the trip meter and the passenger seat heater which seems to work intermittently. The interior is pretty good except for the driver seat upholstery and a few plastic trim pieces. The center console disintegrated, so I replaced it with a homemade unit. The blower motor is starting to squeal on occasion, so it will likely need replaced in the not too distant future. The biggest cosmetic flaw: previous owner had a fender bender, professionally repaired (have receipts). The shop painted the hood, front fenders and front doors and didn't get a perfect paint match with the rest of the car. I think it's noticeable, but it didn't bother me enough to not buy the car.
Current tires should have another summer left in them. At the Buy It Now price I will include another set of steel wheels mounted with Firestone Winterforce winter tires. I have many spare parts, inclding an engine/transmission with less than 100,000 miles that I can list, or negotiate with the buyer on, if interested.
If you know Volvo 240's, then you know this car will run many more miles. I hate to part with it, but I just have too many vehicles/projects. The vehicle is also for sale locally, so the auction may end early.
