1964 Volvo Other Additional Info:
This is a beautiful 1964 Volvo P1800s, which has unfortunately sat for a while. Never driven during the winter, always stored, and except for this last winter it has always been stored inside.
Odometer reads 71,522 (5 digit limit) but has a history of being disconnected and not operating, I suspect it has closer to 200k actual miles.
Original Engine, transmission, and rear-end. All ran and operated nicely, 2nd gear was a bit stiff to shift into but otherwise it was a joy to drive. Engine will probably need some care to be woken up after these many years, but it was running when it was parked.
Wiring harness needs to be replaced. Whole reason it was parked was that the electrical system is toast, original wiring harness has many dead and cross shorts.
Body needs some TLC, has damage on door and in the rear from a parking lot fender-bender, also a few patches of rust here and there. The passenger floorboards has some holes, drivers side is mostly intact.
Interior needs some TLC.
Otherwise the vehicle simply needs some minor fixes here and there, the fuel tank needs to be replaced (patch fell apart while parked) and side mirror mount needs replacing, instrument panel needs cleanup and minor repair (clock, water temp). Radio still works.
This car would be a dream fully restored, and would even be a great car with some work and TLC and a few items replaced.
I have too many other projects (including an airplane) taking up my time and money, otherwise I would have this running in a heartbeat. It's a lovely car and I've enjoyed every mile I've put on it. Hoping to find a good buyer willing to restore this beauty to running.
