The vehicle was purchased new from Continental Volv, Oakland CA in 1965 by the present owner. He drove it daily first as a student and later as a professor at UC Berserkly. He is no longer able to drive the car and is reluctantly offering it for sale. It has been garaged daily since new. The Volvo received regular service throughout the last 52 years. In the 1998 it was fitted with a overdrive transmission and front disk brakes. The car can cruise easly at freeway speeds and gets good gas milage. In 2016 the B-18 engine was completely rebuilt with new pistons and hardened valve seats. It has never been restored just properly maintained and upgraded when necessary. It is unique survivor vehicle which could be displayedin many venues or enjoyed as weekend driver. The vehicle is being sold in "as is" condition without a warrantee.
The car can be inspected with a 24 hour advance appointment. Inspection must be within 25 miles of the 94707 area code. The winning bidder must remit a non refundable deposit of $1000.00 via Pay-Pal within 24 hours of the acceptance of their bid. The remainder of the sale price must be paid in bank certified check within 10 days of acceptance of bid. The vehicle will only be delived in the 94707 area code.
