1989 Volvo 740 Turbo Additional Info:

Classic California Volvo Wagon
This Volvo 740 intercooled turbowagon was my son’s daily driver for the past 5 years. He is now working overseas so I’ve been asked to sell it for him. Generally, the car drives really well; plenty of power and good handling. The 4–speed plus overdrive transmission shifts nicely. The front brakes are less than 2 years old. The exterior is in fine shape with very few minor dings that don’t show in the photos. No rust anywhere. The windshield has two small cracks in the corner as shown in the photo. The interior is kind of worn. The only upholstery rip is one seam in the front passenger seat. The dash top has some cracks. The glove compartment front pad is missing.
The previous owner, a Volvo mechanic, said he rebuilt the mechanicals and the AC when the car had about 175,000 miles on it. The AC was converted to R134, but is not blowing cold right now – was working last summer.
The “newish” stereo system works, but I had to pull the fuse on the power amp for the big subwoofer because it ran the battery down.
All of the car’s features work, including the clock. This Volvo is equipped with:
• Electric sunroof
• Power windows
• Power locks
• Power mirrors
• Power steering
• Power disc brakes
• AC (needs recharge)
• Stereo with newer speakers and amps
• Michelin tires with 50% tread
• Alloy sport wheels (one leaker replaced)
