Purchased from a long time service customer, this classic 240 wagon is a one owner, local car. It originally came from Jack Pickard Volvo here in Greensboro, NC and has always been here. The owners loved these cars, and actually had his & hers '85 240's. This wagon has a few miles, but was well maintained over the years both at the dealer and here. Our available service records date back to 2005. When the owners finally stopped driving this car they wanted us to have it so that it could be fixed up and enjoyed by a second owner. Our reconditioning in preparation for sale included: an oil change, new front brakes, new wiper blades, new front struts, a new fuel pump relay, one tail light assembly, new rear hatch struts, new tailgate wiring harnesses, new high beam headlights, alignment, state inspection, exterior disassembly, fresh paint, reassembly, front seats reupholstered, new modern stereo, professional detail. Notable items prior to us getting the car: the tires are not old. The timing belt & engine service was performed at 266k. The 1985 model is the last year for some of the old style features such as the glass headlights, chrome hub caps, large steering wheel etc.This car looks like a classic. It does have some normal wear to be expected such as a cracked dash, faded carpet and other minor imperfections. But overall it is sharp, clean and very presentable for a 31 year car. It runs and drives very well. We realize that this one is primarily going to appeal to folks who already know these cars and understand that condition & maintenance are more important than mileage.
