VW Baywindow Bus

1977 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Additional Info:

!977 VW Baywindow bus. Complete old bu, runs and drives. It was sitting in a back yard for a long time. Rusty and crust, butdiffidentlyworth saving. Rust is in many places, see pics.
The Good.Motor starts and runs nice without smoking. Has Weber 2 barrel carb and idle, even with bad manifold seals. Drivesstraightand stops Ok. The Tank is full of old ga, its currently running off small gas can.Alternator and electrics all work. Bus has AC and all the parts, but pump isdisconnected. Clutch feels fine and shifts in all gears. Shifter has wornbushingsand is sloppy. I have only driven it a few miles. You could drive it across town but iwouldn'tdrive it across the state. Tires hold air but are old and dry rotted. Interior is old and ratty but mostly complete. It has no center seat and front seats are not VW seats. Dash is in decent shape. Radio is junk.
The BadRus, it has rust in all lower panels. Also has rust in drip rails and window openings. But the Frame and all the center floors are solid. All the doors work, even the slider. It only has aslidingdoor on passenger side. It is not a camper model and does not have the pop top.
Overall if your notafraidof rust its a good cheap bus for someone. Make it a Rat bus or weld in some panels.
