1981 Volkswagen Rabbit Turbo Diesel Additional Info:

I WOULD TOW / TRAILER THIS AWAY. IF GOING A FAR DISTANCE.
1981 Vw Rabbit 4 door 5 speed.
Originally a NA 1.6 gas 4 speed.
Swapped to a turbo diesel from 92 Canadian Golf and Mk1 FF 5 speed transmission a year ago.
( not by me )
Body is decen, dent in rear quarter / hatch.
Back seat is blu, not read.
Passenger front window fell of the track ( probably rusted window mount )
Will start and run with a jump start - fires right up.
Side exit exhaust behind driver rear door.
Turbo diesel motor from 1992 Candian Golf - no idea how many miles on motor or transmission.
New timing belt installed.
Has tons of gagues ( from previous owner ) i do not know if any work - the gas gauge works and the speedometer.
I bought this car to use the motor in a Rabbit pick up truck - i sold the truck so selling the car / motor AS IS.
Shift linkage needs adjustment - hard to find 1st / reverse - you kind of get used to it - but it needs adjustment.
Hood has hood pins? the external latch seems to work, but the hood pins holes are probably there for a reason.
Its worth than my starting bid in PARTS -
As i mentioned very first - its a PROJECT - has NOT been a daily driver since the swap was done last year. Been sitting awaiting someone to finish it.
