Rare 1978 VW Beetle Convertible Karmann Model with Air Conditioning Fuel Inject

1978 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Additional Info:

vehicle purchased in complete assembled condition with intent to disassemble and restore. Completely disassembled vehicle to begin restoration however injured back and unable to complete. Have ALL original parts and numerous pictures are available. Vehicle is a Special Edition 1978 Champagne Edition II (S723 Champagne) model. Original factory color was peach metallic red with a beige convertible top but someone Earl Shiebed it to a cream color which protected it from rust. In researching the Champagne Edition II it is my understanding that VW offered this limited production model in 1978 to try to increase interest and sales and they allotted only two vehicles to each dealer, amounting to 1,100 out of a total of 18,510 convertibles imported that year. Unfortunately due to back surgeries i am disappointed i can't complete the project and would like to see it go to a good home.
