1961 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic BUG BEETLE CONVERTIBLE Additional Info:
Classic 1961 VW bug convertible, converted to electric and restored by Dukes Garage of Westminster CO. a 50hp 3phase motor connected via the 4 speed transmission. The batteries are Lifep04 160Ah, and there are 34 of them connected in series for a nominal voltage of 112.2V. The on board charger is a Elcon and can connect to 110V or 240V. The BMS is manufactured by Boundless Corp and each battery is fitted with a control module. The 3 phase motor controller is made by Curtis and is water cooled, it also has a hand held controller to allow full control of functions like regen braking etc.
