1970 Volkswagen Sandrail Additional Info:

This sand rail is something my dad picked up and has played with/tinkered. I am facilitating the sale on his behalf.
This sand rail is a rear-engined buggy that was assembled under previous ownership in 2005 and purchased by its current owner in 2022. Power is from a 1.6-liter dual-port flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. It features an exposed tube frame over an open cockpit with fixed-back vinyl-padded bucket seats that are joined by RCI multi-point harnesses, an EMPI-style trigger shifter, a turning brake lever, a roller accelerator, and hydraulic brake and clutch pedals. The car rides on 15? wheels and it is further equipped with an upswept stainless-steel four-into-one exhaust system, diamond-plate panels, trail lighting, dual side mirrors, and rear drum brakes.
