This is a rare 1986 Volkswagen Single-Cab Transporter Pickup. Not many were made in this configuration. It was a highly-innovative vehicle, with sides that come down for easy access to loads, as pictured. It runs great and is in excellent condition, having been well-loved and well-taken care of by the original owner. It has spent most of its life in a garage with moderate California weather. It has a 5-speed manual transmission plus a crawl gear.
Unfortunately, the odometer is broken, so it's stuck reading 48,934 miles. Nevertheless, the original 2.1L Waterboxer engine has been well-maintained, so there is no need to worry about it being worn down from milage.
It has Ronal R9 rims, a differential lock, and a custom rack included that was fabricated by the original owner. It has a custom Sony sound system with a kicker subwoofer; the original radio is long-gone.
