Up for sale is a solid 1956 Oval Window Beetle – a head-turning driver with great bones. Not a trailer queen, but definitely something you can enjoy right now and take to the next level.

It’s the only Oval window on eBay under $20k.

• 1641cc engine

• 32/36 two-barrel carb

• 90-amp alternator

• Electronic distributor

• Stainless steel sidewinder exhaust

• Freeway Flyer transaxle – shifts clean with no pop-outs or grinds

• Runs good as you can see/hear in the videos, but I think the new carb could be dialed in to make it even better

• IRS Pan that has been upgraded with four-wheel disc brakes – stops great

• Valley Auto Werks narrowed front beam

• 17" Fuchs-style wheels

• Steering is tight and responsive

• Front & rear safari windows + side pop-outs

• The pans, heater channels, and spare tire area are solid. The pans aren’t show-quality—there’s some peeling undercoating and light surface rust in spots (see photos)—but structurally, they’re sound and don’t need repair/replacement

• Paint is driver quality – shows well, but has some imperfections

• Bumpers have a couple small dings
