1980 Volkswagen Rabbit m-TDI diesel Additional Info:

This is a 1980 Volkswagen Rabbit Convertible m-TDI. It has a 1Z 1.9 TDI engine out of a b4 Passat. It also has the 5spd 02a transmission from the Passat with a hydraulic clutch conversion. Shift linkage conversion that keeps the stock mk1 shifter. Most of the conversion parts are from S-P Automotive who specialize in VW kits. The engine is converted to m-TDI so it does not have much for electrical. Everything works perfect as it should, I completed the swap over 2 years ago and have been driving it ever since. I have driven it on long road trips without any issues.

Vehicle Details

The car has zero rust. The driver seat was recently reupholstered. Almost every part that can be replaced was during my restoration. I have receipts for all parts. Sound dampening and new padding under the carpet.

Timing belt kit just put on 3k miles ago. New ALH injectors w/ upgraded nozzles installed at that time. Front mount intercooler. All aluminium custom made radiator w/ lifetime warranty. Dual cooling fans that keep the engine cool even in traffic during a Houston summer.
