This1961 Volkswagen Type 2 Bus is an 11-window example that was refinished in mango green and off-white prior to its acquisition by the previous owner in 2021.Power is from an air-cooled, 1,600cc flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle newly installed (April 2024, less than 10 miles on the engine), and additional features include painted bumpers, a rear tow ball, a roof basket, pop-out windows, a refurbished Sapphire radio, and a bamboo headliner and rear cargo floor. Included in this sale: an awning for the Bus, spare parts, and clean Pennsylvania State title in the name of the current owner.

The 11-window body was refinished in mango green and off-white during the refurbishment according to the previous owner. Exterior equipment includes powder-coated white bumpers with overriders, dual chrome side mirrors, passenger-side barn doors, safari windows, and a roof rack with wooden slats.Body-colored steel wheels were refinished under prior ownership and feature chrome VW-branded hubcaps as well as 165R15 Coker Classic whitewall tires.

The cabin features replacement front bucket seats along with replacement door panels and a headliner constructed of bamboo. Dual swing-out doors provide access to the rear compartment that features a single bench seat, which is covered with replacement upholstery that has not been secured to the seat. Lap belts are fitted for all occupants, and the seller notes that the bulkhead behind the front seats has been removed by the previous owner. The bus is not equipped with heating, and an interior light is inoperable. Replacement heat exchangers are included in the sale.

A worn ivory-finished two-spoke steering wheel features a Wolfsburg-crest center cap and frames a VDO 80-mph speedometer. A refurbished Sapphire push-button AM radio is housed within the body-colored dash.

The bus is currently fitted out as a mobile bar with custom cabinetry on the side and shelving and two built-in taps in the back. There are two electrical outlets and interior lighting that is powered externally. The bus can converted back to its original condition by removing any or all of the installed bar components depending on the wants/needs of the new owner.
