The Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet is the cabriolet version of the Volkswagen Golf, introduced in 1979. The second generation was introduced in 1994, the third in 1998. The engines for the Cabriolet are almost the same as for the regular Golf. The Golf Cabriolet was discontinued in 2002 and succeeded by the Volkswagen New Beetle Cabriolet and the Volkswagen Eos. The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in white cloth with patterned inserts which are accompanied by matching door panels. Amenities include front power windows, a locking glove box, and a Blaupunkt stereo. The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. Additional auxiliary gauges are mounted in the center console. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 168k miles (not actual), approximately 2k of which have been added under current ownership. The exterior is finished in Alpine White (L90E) and features color-matched bumper covers, side skirts, and wheel arch flares. Additional equipment includes a roll bar, Karmann badging, quad headlights, bodyside moldings, a white vinyl soft top with a heated glass rear window, and a white top cover. The car is equipped with front disc brakes, front and rear stabilizer bars, and power-assisted steering. Also, you won't have issues driving this VW at night either with the upgraded LED headlights. It rolls on Performa 20 15-inch wheels with 195/45R15 tires. a replacement 2.0-liter ABA inline-four that is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The VW fires right up and shifts smoothly.
