I am pleased to offer this very cool 1962 custom vintage VW Beetle ragtop. Body off chassis restored with every nut and bolt replaced – done in approx. 2014. Mileage since being built is only approx. 5,000 miles – car is super reliable.

Car is a ’62 ragtop on a ’62 chassis and features a ’58 oval window rear top section welded in for a great nostalgic look. Mileage on the odometer shows 93,516+/- but actual mileage is unknown. VIN # is 3527881.

This bug features 4 wheel disc brake conversion by Speedway Motors. The car rides on a full Arc Weld air ride setup with manual 4 corner controls in the cabin. It has a narrowed 6” beam in the front and adjustable rear spring torsion plates.

Other important mods:

 – New West Coast Metric wiring harness

 – Engine is a Keith VW built 1835 with dual port heads

 – Engle street cam

 – Pertronix electronic ignition

 – Weber 46 single carburetor

 – A1 Lowdown stainless steel header system

 – Benco Freeway Flyer gearbox with billet internals

 – Car cruises comfortably at 60-70 mph

 – 12 volt conversion

 – Klassic custom wheels

Interior is gorgeous Sew Fine material top to bottom with all stainless trim and a fully functional locking rag top. Paint is beautiful in a 2 stage metallic blue.

Car has never seen rain. Turns heads everywhere, multiple show wins and super reliable and fun to drive.

Personal thoughts:

This classic offers a great VW nostalgic look but with a reliable and quick drivetrain, brakes, suspension etc. Roll that ragtop back, take it out and have some fun!!
