I looked for a true Baja Champion and found this one locally. It was repainted, not all that well, and the engine should be rebuilt. Interior is also rough.It does have potential and they only made 1000 of these to commemorate VWs success in off road and also surpassing the model T in production numbers.It has the hard to find original wheels, the glove box Baja Champion commemorative plate. So, it would be cool to restore her and I truly wish I had that time. I bought her to restore but WOW did I get busy with retirement and I would rather be chilling out than taking on this challenge.Hope someone grabs her and does her justice. Restored this could really be extremely cool and unique. It is a rare find as only 1000 were made so you will be unique driving in this Baja Champion.
