1972 VW Dune Buggy. This Dune Buggy was purchased as a brand new bug and immediately put on a buggy body. Purchased it from the family a few years back and it sat for a long time . I’m a VW mechanic for old bugs and have restored a few in my time. This Dune Buggy has too many repairs and parts to list but can tell you that it drives great and I do drive it around town very frequently. Everything works, wipers,blinkers,radio (awesome),lights,horn,brakes,gas gauge,indicators,oil pressure gauge,voltmeter etc etc. the only thing not hooked up is the emergency brake. This Dune Buggy has new tires and new front aluminum rims. It cruises at 60 plus mph all day long. The engine is a single port 1500 aluminum case that has no issues at all. Has about 5500 miles on the rebuild. Need a trailer? Trailer can be sold with the Dune Buggy for an extra 2000.00. It fits perfect. Was told by the family that this fiberglass body was purchased from Sears in 1972 and it is an extended body dune buggy and no modifications were done to the VW chassis. It can easily have a backseat but it currently seats 2 only.
