1961 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Additional Info:

1961 Volkswagen Type-1 Cal Look Bug. Very rare RIGHT-HAND DRIVE with factory sliding ragtop and chrome handle, highly modified body--removed front and rear cowl vents, drip rails and welded front and rear fenders to the body, to appear to be part of the original body. Front European style sealed beam headlights, rear tear drop tail lights, aluminum side running boards, rear deck lid painted to match body. Workmanship is of very professional quality, built by So-Cal legend Jack Warlow.

Front king and link front suspension with center installed beam adjusters, lowered front king spindles, BILSTEIN front H.D. gas filled shocks, custom front disc brake assembly. Custom aluminum brake and clutch master cylinder. Custom fabricated polished aluminum pedal assembly, with cable operated fuel pedal.

Modified VW high performance engine, 84mm x 94mm, 2332cc, high lift camshaft, lightened flywheel, heavy-duty KEP clutch and pressure plate assembly, dual port, ported and polished cylinder heads, with machined case. Dual WEBER IDF Carburetors with K&N Performance air filters.

Aluminum intake manifolds, aluminum crossbar carburetor linkage, finned aluminum vented valve covers with aluminum breather box.

Electronic distributor with high performance coil pack, BOSCH 12-volt alternator, polished stainless steel firewall

Merged stainless steel TIG welded exhaust with high flow muffler

Chrome SCAT short throw shifter with HURST tee handle

Replaced factory dash with aftermarket fiberglass insert, AUTOMETER PHANTOM Gauges-- Oil pressure gauge, Voltmeter gauge, fuel gauge, speedometer.

Aluminum 3-spoke steering wheel with black vinyl wrapping, factory bucket seats upholstered in 2-tone beige vinyl with matching rear bench seat.
