72 Volkswagen Super Beetle 1600cc, read description for details

1972 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Additional Info:

1972 Super Beetle 1600cc, front disc brakes, flat windshield, front strut suspension.
This car is not restored. I've had it for less then 2 years and bought it with the intention of doing a full restoration. Unfortunately I have to many hobbies and not enough time. It is in good condition and runs well. I drive it often and it's very fun to drive.If you are looking for a starting platform to restore a car, or just want a bug because you remember how fun they were, this would be a great car. If you are looking for a restored car that requires no work to maintain please don't bid on this VW Beetle. The pictures make the car look very good but when you get up close and personal it's definitely51 years old.
The car looks great at a glance and people compliment it all the time. It does have some rust spots but overallis not rusted out. I purchased the car from a 3rd party seller and do not have any info on the previous owners. The car looked to have been sitting unused and in storage for a long time. It has had some minor body work done to the hood and fenders. It's also been repainted off white, which appears to be the original color. I'm not a VW Beetle expert but from what I can tell most of the car is original.

The heat was disconnected by previous owners, the windshield wipers don't work (I haven't had time to diagnose the problem, the wiper motors are still installed), the generator dash light is on but the generator is producing voltage sufficient to run the car and charge the battery, the original radio is installed but doesn't work, or the speakers don't work.

I have put some new parts on the car including the following:
-EMPI GT 8 black spoke wheels and Pirellitires-Retractable seat belts-EMPI shifter with trigger reverse lockout-EMPI carburetor-Fuel Pump-Flame Thrower distributor-Air and breather filters-Fuel filter
