The VW Beetle doesn't need much of an introduction as it was the most produced vehicle in automotive history. The car was built for the people to have inexpensive transportation along with being reliable as a first or second car for a family.
Happy to present this quality car that represents the last year that the Beetle was brought into the United States. Finished in the Mars Red exterior and black top and black interior. The car runs nicely and shifts thru all 4 gears with ease. The speedo operates properly and spins the odometer to keep track of the miles. The car came to us from Ohio where it spent the past 10+ years and enjoyed by previous owner. Vehicle rides on the factory 15in wheels that show nicely with plenty of tread on the tires. Paint job is nice and straight with just a few blemishes. Inside the car is quite remarkable for being 41yrs old with great seats that don't feel like you're sitting on springs. The door panels are in excellent shape and the carpet looks to be fairly new. The dash is nicely appointed with stock setup other than the aftermarket stereo that works properly and has a USB hookup.
The engine was re-configured with a EMPI carb setup from the traditional fuel injection setup and fires up with ease and performs nicely on the road. Lights, turn signals, and fuel gauge works with just the horn not working properly. Convertible top function properly and fits and is secured properly at the windshield with just a little sagging in the headliner.
