1967 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Additional Info:
Super Clean 13 Window 1967 Volkwagen - Type 2 . The 1967 model is that last year of the type 2 model produced in Germany. This bus features 13 windows including six pop-out side panes and a safari windshield. Refinished in Titan Red and White with freshly painted White Wheels and bumpers. I have owned this bus for 7 years, previous owner was in Texas. This bus has been stored in an air conditioned garage. Since I have owned i, I have had it completely repainted, body is in excellent condition, items that I have replaced include shocks, speedometer cable, gas guage, pop out window seals, tires, safari window seals and latches, all interior panels. The engine was just fully serviced, runs great, completely stock to my knowledge. Have an entire bin of additonal parts that will be included in the sale, bin includes Jail Break Bars for back windows, Medal Trim for Bumpers, additional door and window seals, etc. I personally left these items off the bus when the restoration was done, prefer a cleaner look.
Power comes from a 1,493 flat four paired paired with a Freeway Flyer four speed manual transmission. The air cooled motor was rated at 53 horsepower with 78 lb-ft of torque when new. The interior has seating for nine, new rubber black mats look fantastic, gives it a super clean look. Steel wheels are finished in White with Chrome Volkswagen hubcaps, tires were replaced about two years ago.Have all service records and receipts of all the work that has been performed since I have owned it. If you have always wanted one of the most sought after classic VW Buses you should take a hard look at this one. A very similair one recently sold on bring a trailer forover 72,000, my reserve is thousands less.
Values of the classic VW Buses have been steadily rising for quite some time. A recent auction in Monterey sold a 21 window Samba sold for over 300,000. Currently I have several local collectors considering the acquistion of this VW Bus, if the auction ends early you will know that someone gave me an offer I could not refuse. I am happy to assist you with transportation. You are welcome to contact me with any questions you may have at 386 290 0081, serious inquires only please.
