1979 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Additional Info:

Up for auction is a 1979 Volkswagen Karmann Beetle Convertible. Last year for the true Volkswagen Convertibles. This belongs to a friend of mine who asked if I could list it for her. She bought the car 16 years ago. Used it sparingly through out the spring and summer months. Always been garaged. The car has 54,132 Miles but just recently the odometer would record the mileageperiodically so there may be a few extra miles then the car indicates. Mechanically very sound. Runs and drives beautifully. I did notice the choke will probably need adjustment as it loads up on initial start but smooths out nicely when warm. The interior is in very nice shape, has a new headliner and boot for the top. Has AM/FM radio with CD. Body is in very sound shape with a few minor chips here and there. Underside is rock solid and clean. All tires in good shape. This is a turn key car that you can drive home. We even have a Maine State Title which you rarely see.
