1967 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Additional Info:
This is a 1967 Volkswagen Bus Westfalia Camper. 1967 was the pinnacle and last year of the split window Bus. This is a very original unrestored Bus in excellent condition with a number of very rare and desirable options. This Bus is the SO42 Westfalia Camper. That includes the poptop roof with the camper seats and rear Z bed in iconic mustard yellow, sink ice box, cabinets, spice rack, child cot, walk thru jumpseat, and more. This Bus has the rare B42 option which includes the factory front safari windows, roof rack, and tent. All of these options are still with the Bus and in very good original condition. This Bus has the very desirable walk thru front seats. 1967 is the only year of the factory 12 volt electrical system.
The exterior of this Bus is all original and has never repainted. ALL original paint. Most SO42 Westfalia's are all white. Not this one. Original Velvet Green L87 code on the lower body and Pearl White L87 code on the upper body. I repeat, this Bus has ALL original paint and has never been repainted. Beautiful patina that is only made by time and mother nature. The body is in excellent condition. It spent most of it's life out west and has very little rust. There is no rust in the usual places like the nose or front or cargo floor pans. Please look closely at my picture link. The only rust on this Bus is a very little on the rockers, mostly towards the rear. There are a few minor bumps and one small punch hole on the driver door. Most Volkswagen enthusiasts prefer an untouched all original unwelded car in excellent condition over a fully restored newly painted concourse type car. I agree and personally would not touch the body and paint of this beautifully preserved classic.
This Bus is an excellent driver and runs and drives great. It is ready to hit the road! It has upgraded dual carbs that provide plenty of power to get along in traffic. This is not an updated Bus with a modern transaxle. It still has the gear reduction boxes in the rear. It is excellent for low speed cruising over rough terrain and leisurely drives on the open road.
Overall this is an beautiful example of an extraordinarily original, extremely rare optioned, 1967 Volkswagen Bus Westfalia Camper. Please look carefully at the following picture link to see all the detailed photos and video of the Bus
