When you see a 1965 Volkswagen that has been restored to look good and add the right upgrades, then it's already a great classic. But at a price like this, it's irresistible. A '65 Beetle is a great classic year. These are the cars that have extra glass for better visibility front and rear, but it also retains vintage details, like the smaller taillights and classic "W" engine hatch. So it's understandable why there would be a solid... investment in this one to have it restored in 2015. You can see it quite well because the body panels are quite nice and there's good shine on the full-length trim and polished wheel covers. Plus, they spent a ton of time striping the body to metal and applying a new coat of Fontana Gray to show a classic look with a new deep gloss. As you look over this Beetle, you'll also see some nice upgrades for distinction, like the Nerf bars front & rear, polished upgraded exhaust, and Porsche 911-style headlights. Inside is a terrific classic look. Two-tone door panels, tweed carpeting, classic seats w/contrasting piping remind you that even the basic Beetle had some style. Of course, it also helps that you can see an investment in the period-correct replacement part during restoration. The dual-spoke steering wheel has that great thin and grippy feeling, and it has the correct Wolfsburg crest in the center. Even the dash is done correctly with the large VDO gauge in the center and the separate fuel readout to the side. So this is true classic motoring. This year Beetle was born with a 1300cc motor. That's a fine powerplant, but the later upgrade to the 1600cc unit seen here is always welcomed. After all, it means you get the same classic air-cooled hum but now with the largest displacement of the VW's run. The four-speed manual transmission is believed to be original to the car, and it shifts smoothly as it gives you full control over that hardy motor. The same comes complete with restoration photos and receipts. This is the classic that has been restored to have a vintage feeling while still giving you distinction in any crowd. And it does it all for a terrific price. Call now!
