1977 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Additional Info:
1977 VOLKSWAGEN WESTFALIA CAMPER
Hello Everyone, you are looking at a great
'77 VW Bus Westfalia camper in very good condition.
I've been around Volkswagens for many years but mostly beetles and some buses
including this camper so I love the brand but do not consider myself an expert.
I will try to describe this bus to the best of my knowledge.
The bus has a very good looking and I really enjoy driving around town
having many thumbs up from people, it is a very clean exemplar
with complete interior mostly original and straight exterior body.
MECHANICAL:
This Westfalia is in excellent running condition, engine starts right away at any time.
Engine has all original components including fuel injection system
to pass emission test at any state within the US.
Recently serviced to pass smog check test in California.
It cruises at 70 mph in the freeway with no issues,
transmission in great working order with absolutely no gear pop outs.
In general this bus is a pleasure to drive, steering wheel is tight, it brakes good.
All lighting including low/high beams, turn signals, hazard, driving and stop lights, brakes,
interior lights, gas gauge and wipers working.
EXTERIOR:
Bus has a great exterior looking with a very straight body
painted years ago in yellow/white combination.
Paint is in good condition.
Original color of this bus is yellow but when repainted,
previous owner add a white combination to the top part.
95% rust free vehicle, very clean chassis, jack points, dog legs and rear wheel wells,
minor rust dots at windshield and only surface rust to front floor area under the rubber mat.
Great radial tires with 90% life left on them, includes spare tire.
Bus was hit in the past at the right back side, nothing really serious to affect the frame
but vehicle was salvaged by the insurance company (I guess).
It was professional repaired by a body shop, you can see the
exact spot where it was hit in the attached pictures.
Super nice D plate showing model year 1977 mounted at the rear license plate.
INTERIOR:
Mostly original interior with z bed, cabinets, cooler and sink.
Kitchenette cabinets have some delamination as shown in the pictures.
All interior accessories including rear mosquito net,
dining table, front child cot, upper bunk bed and rear cushions, middle bench.
Original plaid upholstery material every where except for front seats
that are not original form this bus.
Original green carpet.
Brand new correct era and material German curtains set including windshield cover.
Clean dashboard with speedometer showing 77,xxx miles, true miles unknown.
Original door panels.
Brand new front set covers.
Kenwood CD player with USB/ ipod cable and 2 front speakers
along with 2 6x9 rear speakers.
Original rubber front mat.
Sliding door missing interior handle and most be closed slow.
Good pop up canvas, all zippers working good.
One of the previous owners installed a kind of static sunroof at the pop up frame.
I encourage any potential buyers to inspect the bus in person
and take a drive test or hire a 3rd party inspector to
satisfy themselves before purchasing.
Vehicle is located in Southern California, 90201 zip code.
If you have any more questions please do not hesitate to contact me,
I will try to answer to the best of my knowledge.
