Finally
TITLE IS BONDED - WE HAVE A FLORIDA TITLE IN HAND READY TO TRANSFER, BUT IT DOES HAVE A BONDED BRAND. In Florida it’s no problem at all to transfer in an out-of-state bonded title car, but your state may differ - so you’ll want to call your local DMV before bidding. The bonded designation only lasts until December 2019 in Florida and then brand will be removed and you would have a regular non-branded Florida title; we are discounting the price several thousand for this inconvenience, but if the Vanagon doesn’t sell we will keep it until December and sell it without the brand, but the price will be several thousand more - this is your chance to get a deal. Basically we bought the Vanagon from a local dealer that specializes in vintage German cars for export, he claimed that the person he bought it from had lost the title so he filed the paperwork to get a new bonded title which was issued - in Florida the bonded designation stays on the title for 3-years, this period ends in December.
Sold as-is, no warranty. We keep the license plates in Florida, so if you plan to drive the Vanagon home you’ll need to bring a license plate; however, we have only driven the Vanagon locally and cannot say how it will handle either way on a long cross country road trip - and again note that it has an intermittent starting issue - shipping is always recommended.
