Originally it came to the US as a water cooled Diesel. The previous owner purchased it as a water cooled 1.6L Gasoline engine so it had been converted earlier. It still has the diesel badge on the back hatch. He replaced the 1.6L with a 1.8L Gasoline water cooled, carbureted engine. The engine was installed two years ago along with a new clutch. The engine was taken out of a Jetta and rebuilt by the previous owner. It runs strong. The transmission works good and shifts fine.
The interior is clean. The stove, fridge, and sink work. The propane fitting has been updated. The pop top is clean with no tears. It comes with the curtains.
The paint and body is decent for being 36 years old. It has the brown stripes. Their are no major dents. It has one mysterious hole in the drivers door. You can see it in the pictures. I’m looking at having it repaired this week. The under carriage is solid and clean.
