Karmann Ghias For Sale

These two Ghias are being sold as one deal.

The first one is a red 1970 rare hardtop, that VW never made. The window posts were removed to create a sleek looking unique ride.

It was repainted in 2004 and the engine was replaced and upgraded with a dual port 1600 cc model along with a 1973 manual transmission.

There are very custom one of a kind Ghia chrome emblems installed on each door to seperate it from a NORMAL Ghia model.

This car starts and runs very well and has been garage kept for the past 15 years. Current mileage indicated is 91,150 miles.

Tires, brakes, shocks, glass and the rest of the normal amenities are in good condition. The paint job remains ok with a few signs of previous bodywork here and there.

The other Ghia is a 1967 and remains very original to the way it rolled off the assembly line. Car starts, runs and drives wonderfully.

The car retains the original drivetrain which is the stock 1500 cc engine and four speed manual transmission. It has been stored in a dry garage for the past 20 years while lightly using it.

Current low miles is 58,000.

The body and interior are in extraordinary condition. Car was carefully repainted with the original color in 1989.

There's probably not many ORIGNAL Ghias with such low mileage and in such great shape.

This car was purchased brand new by the current owners uncle in Florida.

The fit and finish on this car is amazing!

This car has NEVER been hit!

Note the condition of the chrome and glass...again...amazing!

This cars list of needs is very short....1. Replace or repair dash pad...current one is cracked.

2. Car will need a fresh set of tires.

3. The gas gauge works intermittently.

4. In dash radio stopped working a while ago.

All in all, a wonderful find!

Background....

The Karman Ghia was designed by the House of Ghia in Turin, Italy. They were assembled in Osnabruck, Germany, hence the name Karmann Ghia.

The first year was 1956 and continued through 1974. 365,912 coupes were produced and Karmann of Brazil produced another 41,600 ending in 1975. 79,325 convertibles were also built.
