Here I have what was my Dream car at one time... I'm selling My "Yellow Bird" some call her "Tweety" to make it yours. I bought it for $5,000 and put a restoration job into the body..like new floor boards, Rocker panels both sides. little rust on the head lights. New Carpet in 2009. Original headliner! lights work, Runs yes, Great!! I bought it with 97,423 miles..it has 104,587 miles now.starts in severe Cold weather! has a heater!!! Windows have always been little hard to roll up and down. She Flys! had her up to 70 but safely drives at 55 nooo problems. Faily new cluch, breaks and pads.. I have all the records...I drove her from Maine to Kissimmee Florida for $123.22 42MPG WOW. 1,470 mils. it was my going back to college car, Drove it back to Maine in 2011 with my best friend. I use it for my grocery car to the General Store on Southport Island. Pic of nose dent is a "Before" pic" for me to get interior pics I must go back to ME. brought the wrong USB!:( This car will sell quickly so make it yours!!
Garage Stored always. She wasbacked into it in 2012 when my clutch went and dented the nose.. she's all fixed up now. No Frame damage at all! This is the photo taken after fix up and painted. I have ALL the papers you need for the history on her the last 11 years. New paint in 2012. half of side molding came off. needs replacement. Solid Car inside... Sold "As Is" We saw how solid she was, once we recarpeted her!! My police friend David and his buddy came and did it for me. Original seats! Dash cracked..couldn't find anyone to redo it. I am sure there is someone out there?? Emergency brake cable broke last summer needs new one. I put it in 1st when I park. Parts can be purchased easily for sure. I do have some original parts from Germany. Like the original Carburetor.. Orginal Hub cabs scuffed/dented alittle...you get buy new ones I just tried to keep her as original as I could...If you do not know much about these VW's ask. I will miss her but it's time. I am retired and am gone more now. You can make it yours!! New tires 2012 4,000 miles. If your regular car won't start she will..in -30 below! It's like my first car...the Plymouth Duster Slant 6. Enjoyable!:) no radio..original in but not attached. I have put $6,000 in Restore and new parts but.....this car is inexpensive to maintain!!
