1961 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Additional Info:

  • Rare 1961 sub hatch westfalia camper. This is a survivor that is rust free and all original panels. I am the third owner and have a clear, open title and keys. It's ready to go!

Solid running sp 1641 and rebuilt pro street IRS transmission. Low mileage on drivetrain and everything done professionally by previous owner. Starts up first time every time and leaks no oil.
Runs, drives, and shifts through all the gears smoothly. Front left brake needs a new wheel Cylinder and bled.
All electrics work except for the horn. Auxiliary starting button in engine compartment and additional 2nd battery option that will run camper lights and cb radio. It charges while you drive.
Body is solid and looks great. Has original dove blue under the white. The only thing that does not have blue is the rear hatch and decklid that were from another 61 sub hatch, which can be paint matched and sanded to match. Side step is included along with straight front and rear bumpers, no mounts. Has the original, rare interior camper lights, one has a crack although still solid. Original closet, refrigerator/cooler, curtain rods and tent poles. New panels from Wolfsburg west, a few have slight wear from storage. Tail lights lens are plastic. No additional parts besides what you see.
