MAKE OFFER!! This is a almost totally original 181 VW Thing. People call old cars in this condition "Barnfinds" or "Survivors",It has spent most of it's life parked in the side yard or in a garage. All damage is due to the vicious sun of South Texas. This may be one of the lowest mileage VWs in America... it only has 12,000 original miles. I have stopped repairing it because I don't really know what you want done.Condition: Body is great, with original flat orange with white primer peaking out at places. The door hinge on the drivers side is broken, but I have the replacement. The chrome is smooth and looks new! Interior: Still has the original stickers, the seats are due for recovering due to sun damage. Drivers seat has a hole in the middle. NEW set of wooden "duck boards". MAKE OFFERS Engine: VG condition with a couple of replacement parts. runs smoothly but some problems with gas pump (maybe) Roof/ windows: Needs replacement due to sun damage. Replacements:over the years I had to replace the gaskets on the universal joints, the brakes and brake cylinders. I have the wipers but they need to be installed.Autos like this that have not been messed up by somebody, and are mostly original are extremely hard to find. I have this listed @ 12,000 but do not expect that, I am looking for offers. I have no idea what this is worth. MAKE OFFERS!!
