1974 Volkswagen Thing Additional Info:
Fully restored '74 Thing. Smooth-running stock 1600 engine with many new/rebuilt parts: heads, valves, generator, carburetor, clutch, exhaust system, etc. New tires on custom wheels (including new spare). New paint. New upholstery. New top and frame. New brake system. New floor pans and duckboards. New rubber seals everywhere. Project started as a basket case that had been through various minor mishaps, but the finished product is ready to roll. What it lacks: heating system, window inserts (I have a usable set or restorable frames if they're desired), windshield washer system, brake warning light, working odometer (speedo works, but the car will always show 31,000 miles). I've taken liberties with a bunch of wood or wood-grain trim.
